The Moombahlene LALC will advocate and promote the development of Indigenous health, wealth and economic development of its members and indigenous people

As the State's peak representative body in Aboriginal Affairs, the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council aims to protect the interests and further the aspirations of its members and the broader Aboriginal community. NSWALC is the largest member based Aboriginal organisation in NSW.

The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is committed to ensuring a better future for Aboriginal people by working for the return of culturally significant and economically viable land, pursuing cultural, social and economic independence for its people and being politically proactive and voicing the position of Aboriginal people on issues that affect them.

Cr Charles Lynch.

A Gomeroi man born in Tamworth who has lived between Tamworth, Barraba and Quirindi all his life, Cr Lynch has been involved in the Land Rights network for more than 25 years in various capacities. He was elected in 2015.

Cr Lynch is a member of Nungaroo Local Aboriginal Land Council and is involved with the Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service and Walhallow Murri Aboriginal Enterprise Corporation. He is a fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.

He has a strong focus on empowering Local Aboriginal Land Councils to build capacity and determine their own direction through economic development and sustainable delivery of services for the betterment of members and communities as a whole.

Youth Representatives:
Talisha Kuras

Talisha Kuras is a proud Gamilaraay woman from Coonabarabran in NSW.

Talisha has a working knowledge of the social and economic problems facing Aboriginal youth and says identifying pathways of change by liaising with community is crucial to addressing those issues.

She encourages Aboriginal youth to join their Local Aboriginal Land Councils and follow the cultural and organisational protocols of learning from their Elders and leaders within the Land Rights network.

Talisha is a member of the Coonabarabran Local Aboriginal Land Council, was the LALC’s Young Leader of the Year in 2015 and has received regional awards for Student of the Year across multiple years from TAFE Western, New England TAFE and IPROWD.
